Privacy, plainly.

You can browse Hattip without joining the early-access queue. If you join, we use your email to verify your request and contact you about your invitation.

Information you provide

We store your email address, preferred platform, verification and consent time, queue status and invitation status. We do not add you to a general newsletter. The queue is separate from a Hattip product account. No payment is collected on this site.

Verification and abuse prevention

We send a six-digit code through Cloudflare’s transactional email service. Codes expire after ten minutes and have limited attempts. We store a digest of each code, not the readable code. Short-lived request counters use hashed email and IP identifiers to limit abuse. Expired verification records and counters are cleaned up daily.

Storage and retention

Cloudflare hosts this site, stores the queue in a dedicated database and processes verification emails. Cloudflare also processes network information to deliver and secure the service. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Queue entries are retained until you remove them, or for up to twelve months from joining, followed by daily cleanup. Expired invitation records are cleaned up daily.

Leave the queue

Use Remove myself from the queue and verify your email. This deletes your queue entry and early-access invitations. It does not delete a separate product account. Short-lived abuse counters may remain until their scheduled expiry.

Browsing and future accounts

We use locally hosted fonts and images, without advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The queue does not use a login cookie. Details about product accounts, saved reading and connected sources will be provided before product signup opens.
